Science-backed, mother-focused support for the fourth trimester. In-home visits from Caloundra to Noosa.
I help mothers move through the fourth trimester with the nourishment, nervous system support, and practical care that should have always been there. Research-backed. Mother-first. Sunshine Coast.
They are a transformation.
You are becoming someone new and you deserve to be held through it.
At Resting Rituals, everything we do is mother-first. Grounded in food science, nervous system research, and the kind of real, lived experience that only comes from having been there yourself.
This is not generic wellness. This is considered, research-backed care designed specifically for you.
We help you build a postpartum experience that nourishes your body, steadies your nervous system, and gives you the space to rest, really rest.
Through in-home visits, nourishing meal preparation, and calm, evidence-based support, we take the weight off your shoulders so you can focus on what matters most: healing and bonding.
meet the founder
Postpartum doula, food scientist, yoga teacher, and mother of two.
I created Resting Rituals because when I became a mother, I couldn't find the kind of support I actually needed. Not vague reassurance. Not a pamphlet. Real, nourishing care, grounded in science and delivered with warmth.
Everything I offer is either research-backed or lived experience. Usually both.

This isn't one-size-fits-all care.
Modern motherhood asks too much and offers too little. Between feeding schedules, partner returning to work, and a village that's often interstate, rest can feel completely out of reach.
Resting Rituals was built for the mother on the Sunshine Coast who doesn't have family nearby. Who wants to enjoy her postpartum, not just survive it. Who knows she deserves care too, not just her baby.
With a background in food science, yoga, and nervous system regulation, Shanna brings something most postpartum services can't: a deep, research-backed understanding of what your body and mind actually need right now.
